Fixed Income Portion: Portfolio Construction Parameters

  • Typical asset allocation includes fixed income instruments of 0%–40%, and an equity allocation of 60%–100%
  • Fixed income allocated by the Investment Team's determination of perceived market risks and interest rate outlook
  • The equity allocation employs the Alpine Woods Dividend Strategy

Equity Portion: Portfolio Construction Paramaters  

  • Stocks with liquidity
  • Typical position size 3% to 5%
  • Typical number of holdings 30 to 50
  • Limit security concentration to no more than 10%
  • Limit sector exposure: typically 25% or 1.5x the benchmark, whichever is greater
  • Typically fully invested
  • Review quantitative risk management statistics in order to know where and in what form risk exists
